Execution:
Stand in a squat rack with feet at shoulder width and un rack the weight. Step back into squatting position, then widen your stance out to 6 to 8 inches beyond shoulder width on each side. Start the movement by bending at the knees and squatting down toward the floor. Focus on sitting back as far as possible, because with this wide stance you will only get down to depth by pushing the knees out and sitting back. Continue to descend until you can go no lower, then drive the weight back up ¾ of the way to completion, and descend again. This movement develops hip and glute power.
